eComAI operates the EcomAI Builder Shopify app and this website, including all related information, content, features, tools, and services (the "Services"). The app runs inside Shopify Admin, and Shopify provides platform services that enable the app to function. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information when you visit, use, or otherwise interact with the Services, or communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of information.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Personal Information We Collect or Process
When we use the term "personal information," we are referring to information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you or your Shopify store. Personal information does not include information that is collected anonymously or that has been de-identified so it cannot be reasonably linked to you.
The types of personal information we may collect or process depend on how you interact with the Services and applicable law. For an app like EcomAI Builder, this may include:
- Store and account information (from Shopify): your Shopify store domain (for example, your-store.myshopify.com) and basic identifiers Shopify provides to apps during installation and use.
- Inputs you provide to generate output: authorized URLs, catalog text, or CSV files you upload for a run.
- Usage and run information: actions inside the app (for example, starting a Quick Builder or CSV run) and basic run status (queued/running/success/failure), plus limited metadata needed to operate the service (for example, timestamps).
- Communications with us: information you include when you contact support (for example, store domain and screenshots you share).
- Device and log data: limited technical data (for example, IP address, browser type, request IDs, and error details) used for security, fraud prevention, reliability, and troubleshooting.
Important: App subscriptions are billed through Shopify Billing. We do not collect or store your payment card information.
Personal Information Sources
We may collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you when you provide inputs to the app (URLs/CSV/catalog text) or contact us for support.
- Automatically through the Services when you use the app or visit our website (for example, basic logs and diagnostics, and cookies where used).
- From Shopify in connection with app installation and use (for example, shop domain and app authorization context).
- From service providers that help us operate the Services (for example, hosting, monitoring/logging, email support).
How We Use Your Personal Information
Depending on how you interact with the Services, we may use personal information for the following purposes:
Provide, Operate, and Improve the Services. We use personal information to operate the app, process your requests, generate product-page content you request, and maintain the service. This includes using store identifiers from Shopify and the inputs you provide (authorized URLs/CSV/catalog text) to produce the output and publish it to Shopify when you choose.
Content Ownership and Permissions
You own and control the products and content in your Shopify store. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights, permissions, and authority to use any URLs, product data, images, or other inputs you submit to the app, and to publish the resulting product content to your store.
We do not claim ownership over your store content or the outputs generated for your store. The app generates content only on your request and publishes it to your Shopify store when you choose.
AI Processing. To generate product-page content, we may process your authorized inputs using third-party AI service providers. We use this processing only to generate the requested output for your store and to operate the service. We do not sell your data. We do not use your store data to advertise to your customers.
Security and Fraud Prevention. We use information (including limited logs and technical data) to secure the Services, prevent abuse, and investigate suspicious activity.
Communicating with You. We use information to provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
Legal Reasons. We may use information to comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, and protect the rights and safety of our users and the Services.
How We Disclose Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose personal information to third parties for legitimate purposes subject to this Privacy Policy, including:
- Service providers who perform services on our behalf (for example, hosting, monitoring/logging, email support, and analytics), and only as needed to provide the Services.
- AI service providers used to generate content from the authorized inputs you submit, only to produce the requested output.
- Shopify as necessary to provide the app functionality, including publishing generated content to your Shopify store when you request it.
- Legal and compliance disclosures where required by law or to protect the Services, our rights, and users.
Relationship with Shopify
The app runs on Shopify and uses Shopify APIs. Shopify may process information as part of providing the Shopify platform. Information you submit to the app may be transmitted to Shopify to enable app functionality (for example, writing generated content to your Shopify products). To learn more about how Shopify uses personal information, you can visit Shopify's privacy resources at https://privacy.shopify.com/en.
Third Party Websites and Links
The Services may provide links to third-party websites. If you follow links to sites not affiliated or controlled by us, you should review their privacy and security policies. We are not responsible for the privacy or security of such sites.
Children's Data
The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request deletion.
Security and Retention of Your Information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. However, no security measures are perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Input auto-deletion (your key requirement): The URLs/CSV/catalog inputs you submit, and temporary processing files created during a run, are automatically deleted after processing completes (whether the run succeeds or fails).
We may retain minimal store-linked operational data needed to provide and support the app while it is installed (for example, settings and basic run status/history), and limited logs for security and troubleshooting.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights with respect to your personal information. These rights may include:
- Right to Access / Know
- Right to Delete
- Right to Correct
- Right of Portability
- Right to Opt out of certain processing where applicable under local law
You may exercise these rights by contacting us at contact@ecomaibuilder.com. We may need to verify your identity and store ownership before processing requests. Uninstalling the app from Shopify Admin stops further access from Shopify.
Complaints
If you have complaints about how we process personal information, please contact us. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International Transfers
We may transfer, store, and process information outside the country you live in, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
